08-04-2008 ... New Section: Your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Just for fun.
08-03-2008 ... Sorry for the inactivity. Was on Vacation for 3 weeks in July and will still be at the cabin for the 1st week in August. Brought a P3-1000 computer to the cabin to surf the net and other speedy
things. I had a very old Netgear router here at the cabin which was erratic and would not allow the FTP and eMule computer to stay online continually. Replaced with a new Linksys Wireless Router yesterday and has run fine ever since. Sorry about the FTP I know it has been a pain in the rear for many users.

07-24-2008 ... Just returned from the cabin after 10 days of mountain air.
The PAKman FTP chess computer is working fine at the cabin. I added eMule to the computer and am offering all 3-5, 33, 42, 33p, and some 42p Endgame Tablebases for download on eMule. The computer's eMule name is PAKman No2. The emule computer in Charlotte, NC is PAKman No1 of course. PAKman No1 is downloading 42p EGTBs and only needs 420 files to offer a complete set of EGTBs except 5-1. Everyone have a great day, Its nice to be back in Charlotte, Cabin Fever you know.

07-14-2008 ... Edited from 7-11: The PAKman FTPserver has been moved to Traphill, NC from Charlotte, NC. The move allows an increase of bandwidth from an average of 2.7 KB/s per user to 4.7 KB/s per user. Not much but over a day of downloading from the server its a big increase.

07-10-2008 ... I have disconnected the FTPserver for one day to move it to my cabin in the mountains which has high speed internet. This will allow and increase of bandwidth and free up much needed bandwidth in Charlotte, NC. I intend to use the extra bandwidth in Charlotte to complete the Endgame Tablebases. I need about 60% of the 42p to have all available Namilov Tablebases. The increased bandwidth should allow the completion of the project in about 60 days. Wish me Luck!
06-22-2008 ... The PAKeMule EndgameTablebase Server is Online.
06-22-2008 ... Just purchased an external eSATA, USB 2.0 hard drive enclosure. Its may make possible copying EGTBs to a hard drive for mailing. Will have to consider time, effort, and cost.

06-22-2008 ... The PAKeMule EndgameTablebase Server is formatting the 750GB G:Drive for the 42p tablebases. Not using Quick format, makes for a long day.
06-21-2008 ... The PAKeMule EndgameTablebase Server is offline for the installation of a 750GB G:Drive for the 42p tablebases. Need to transfer some existing files and should be back online by the 23rd of June.

06-17-2008 ... A note about the PAKserver: I changed the allowed connections per user to from 2 to 1. The server allows 12 connections and one person I suspect was using 6 or 8 of the connections. I base that on the ISP with the same number except the last two and the same country. My email address is on the server and can be discussed there if the person is inclined. This is unacceptable since users are denied service constantly.
06-16-2008 ... Well I'm back and missed updating the site almost daily. I will try to find interesting content for your enjoyment.
06-I6-2008 ... I brought an eMule Endgame Tablebase Server online yesterday. It has all the same Tablebases that are currently on the FTP server. I am in the long process of completing the 42 w/pawns Tablebases. The 35, 33, 42, 33p, and 300 of the 42p files are on the new server. The eMule server is under the name of PAKman and is primarily on eDonketServer No1 and eDonkeyServer No2 . The eMule server was constructed from used parts but should be available 24/7. My present commitment is until 12-31-2008, then we will look at the future, Enjoy, Norm
