Doug Corbett
President
Doug has been playing chess recreationally since grade school.  He applies the same analytical approach he does to chess toward his career in Computer Application Development.  Fortunately, he is more successful writing code than at playing chess.  But he is getting better at chess.

Bernard Baker
Vice President
Bernard has been a chess enthusiast for 32 years.  For the past 4 years, he has been teaching Chess in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Scholastic Chess Association and at several private schools.  He currently serves as a Chess Instructor at the Charlotte Youth Chess Club, and provides private lessons for both children and adults. Bernard Baker holds two titles: the 2004 North Carolina State Chess Champion and the 2004 North Carolina Class Champion. Though his USCF rating is approximately 1835 (“A” player) at the time of this writing, he has beaten National Masters and Experts. He is a member of the Charlotte Chess Club, and thoroughly enjoys teaching chess.

Outside of chess, Bernard has an 18 year old daughter Morgan who is a sophomore studying Biology at UNCG. He is an Associate Pastor at New Creation Christian Church in Charlotte, NC and is employed by The Inspiration Networks as a Web Content Developer.

PAKman's Endgame Tablebase FTP Server

 ftp://chess:chess@pakman.myftp.org

The PAKserver is currently allowing 12 users, with 2 connections per user.

The bandwidth is 8000KB/s Down and 512KB/s Up, divide that by 8 equals 1000KB/s Down
and 64KB/s Up. I must divide that bandwidth between four computers on a normal
day and still try to give each computer the bandwidth it requires.
The Chess Server gets 500KB/s Down and 36KB/s Up.
The eMule Program gets 300KB/s Down and 20KB/s Up.
The remaining bandwidth is shared between the Chess Computer and my Laptop.
The Chess Computer used on playchess.com is the problem. If I don't provide
enough bandwidth then i have lag which is unacceptable to my fellow players.

The PAKserver Facts: OS: Windows 2000 pro, Motherboard: ABIT NF7-S2G,

    CPU: AMD 2800+ Athlon XP @ 2092MHz, RAM: 2X512=1GB DC, Video: gForce 4000MX 128MB,
    Hard Drives SATA 1: C:200GB, E:250GB, F:500GB, G:750GB, Total: 1700GB/1.7TB.
Tablebases 3+3 and 4+2 are on E: Drive,
3+3 with pawns are on F: Drive
4+2 with pawns are on G: Drive

Thanks for everyones help and cooperation.
